Minnesota Continuing Education Requirements

Continuing education requirements for mental health professionals licensed in Minnesota.

• LMFT: 40 CE hours every 2 years, including 3 ethics hours — 40 hours per 2 years: 3 ethical and professional studies, 4 cultural competency. Board-approved supervisors add 4 supervision hours. Minn. R. 5300.0320.
• LPC: 40 CE hours every 2 years — 40 hours per 2 years, of which 4 must address cultural responsiveness and diverse populations. Minn. Stat. 148B.54.
